NASCAR cheating is something that has been around for a long time ago. The term "NASCAR cheating" refers to the drivers participating in NASCAR races who tend to try different means and tricks to succeed in NASCAR races. Other examples of cheating in NASCAR involve the tinkering of the size and shape of the stock car’s spoiler. Many crew chiefs have been penalized for cheating by making the spoilers higher than allowed as this tends to increases the down force of the car. However NASCAR cheaters have managed to evade these inspectors by designing spoilers using special material that tends to change shape at high speeds, and when the car slows down, it tends to revert.

It is considered that the biggest cheater in NASCAR was the incident of Michael Waltrip cheating in NASCAR. Michael was so embarrassed with him being caught in his NASCAR cheating, that he had almost pulled out of the Daytona 500 preparations. This was because Michael, who was a two-time Daytona 500 winner, had lost two of his important crew members as NASCAR had penalized them for using a fuel additive in his fuel. It was his wife and the Toyota officials who finally managed to talk him back to racing though the Toyota officials were upset at his NASCAR cheating stint.
